                                       Most Memorable Thing That I've Done This Year

     My most memorable thing that I've ever done this year is the Filipino Salu - Salo. Because every year 7 and 8 Filipino are taking part in this event. It is fun because Filipino are having fun together and  there are some people that I talked to for the first time. I love this event because I think this is the most happiest thing I've ever seen in school. But this Filipino Salu - Salo is not just an event, this is also a celebration of Filipino culture. I hope this will happen again, or if it is happen again, I want it to be  happier than before.

Narrative Writing - The Kangaroo And The Turtle

So I have finish my narrative writing. I just continued it up so that the story is done. If you want to see the another part of my story you can scroll down and have a look at them. If you don't want to have a look, you can also have a look here.

Explanation Part:

Then George can’t handle his temper anymore, and he said, “ Fine! Let’s have a race. The first person who wins, he is going to be the friend of all animals,” Ralph said, “What? Can’t you see that I am a turtle who walks so slow?” George answered back, “ That’s why I’m challenging you. Just meet me at your home at Saturday morning. See ya,” Ralph can’t answer anymore because George ran away. Ralph is so worried, he doesn’t know what to do, he is a slow animal while George is very fast. Solution Part:     It was Saturday morning, George is getting ready for the tournament. He looks so good in his clothes. He talked to his mirror and said, “ How can poor Ralph can beat me? I am George the Kangaroo, the best animal of all,” While Ralph wears an ordinary clothes and having a warm up for the tournament. He talked to his mirror and said, “ I have nothing to wear. But it doesn’t matter, I just want to win the tournament for my friends,”. Suddenly, Ralph hears a noise coming from the outside of the cave, he was curious about it. It was his friends. They brought some clothes for Ralph to wear. Ralph is so happy then Soni talked to Ralph and said, “ I told them that you are going to have a battle with George, and they brought something for you!” Ralph cried in joy. “ I can’t believe that you guys supports me everytime that I need you. Thank you so much,”. Another noise is coming from the outside of the cave, it was George. Then George went to the cave, “ This place is disgusting! By the way, are you ready poor Ralph?” Ralph said “ Yes I am,” then George said in excitement, “ This guys are going to be my friends sooner. What are you waiting for? Let us go outside!”. Now, they are already at the outside of the cave, then the tournament begins. George is so fast, he can’t be seen anymore, while Ralph is so slow. Then he told himself that he is going to win. Many minutes passes, George almost finish the race, but he is so tired, then he saw a place to rest then he went there for a while to rest then sleep. Hours passes George is still sleeping while Ralph saw George sleeping, then he walks slower so that George can’t hear him. Minutes passes, Ralph won the race, then George woked up, he saw that Ralph won. He can’t accept it but he said something to Ralph while crying, “ Please, accept me as your true friend,  I only want to have friends like you!” Then Ralph answered back, “ Its okay, you can be my friend anytime.”. Then Ralph the turtle and George the kangaroo are now friends. They helped each other, they treat each other like a siblings. George totally changed, he is now a friend of many animals and he promised himself to be a good animal forever so that more animals will like him. Whole Story:

George said “ It seems like many animals hated me, “ then he think of it until night. Then he suddenly saw Ralph walking, and he walked towards to Ralph and said, “ Maybe you are the reason in my problem.

Many animals started to hate me because of you,” then Ralph answered back, “ What are you talking about? I’m not doing anything,”. Then Ralph run away from George.

      In the morning, George went to the cave where Ralph live and hid at the grasses. He is investigating

Ralph to see if Ralph is a bad person, but he can’t see Ralph in the cave. Then Ralph suddenly showed up,

he is with a friend. Then Ralph talked to his friend and said “ George is mad at me. He’s always blaming me

at everything, “ Then his friend Soni said, “ Like what? “, “ Like, no one even likes him. He talked to me last night and blame at me because no one likes him, “ Then George said accidentally, “ NO! It's the truth, you make me look bad in their eyes! “ Ralph answered back “ Can you hear what are you saying?, It’s your problem not mine,”.

   Blogging Helps Improve Your Learning

                                               Everyone has somethings to share. Especially, these days are so easy to share around the world by using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other more things that we use. But blogging seems different from those apps. What is blogging? Blogging is a place where you want to share you learning, thoughts and any other things or ideas that you want to share.  We can use blogging to help us improve our learning. For just like, it helps you improve your english, your spelling, writing more paragraphs and right punctuation marks in your story. It also not just  help you improve your learning, it also gives you courage because you share your ideas around the world. You will also learn to accept some feedbacks from the other people if they don’t like your work which improves you more to your learning.
When I first use my own blog, I feel really weird because why do I have to share my ideas to the whole world? At first I am scared because I thought that people would laugh at me.  Now I understand, blogging helps me a lot. It helps me improve at anything that I wanted to improve. _______________________________________________________________________________ This is a another piece of persuasive writing. But it's not about comparing it to the objects just like " dogs makes better pets than cats". It is about if you agree that blogging helps you improve your learning or not. So for today's blog, we are about to write about persuasive writing. Which is about dogs and cats. So this is just a review about our writing so that we can get ready for our upcoming assessments.

Dogs Makes Better Pets Than Cats

All over the world, people has a favourite animal. But, do you think that cats and dogs are the most favourite animal all of the time? People argue about this one, they said cats are better than dogs and other said that dogs are better than cats. So I'm going to persuade you that dogs make better pets than cats.

First of all, dogs can help you a lot in your daily living. For just like, dogs are the man's best friend, they help you change your bad mood into good mood whenever you came from work or school. They also helps you guard your house from bad people trying to steal something, because dogs have better sense of smelling than people. But dogs are expensive, they cost a lot of items to buy. It doesn't even matter if dogs are expensive because you're  spending your money in such a important thing, in short it is worth it to buy dogs.

Second of all, cats doesn't even helps you a lot. For just like cats eat rats and they make big mess every night. They go out to your neighbours and trying to find a food in the bin which makes the cat stinky and dirty. That also makes you lock up your cat in your house every night which makes you feel sad that you can't make your cat free. Unlike dogs, dogs are very friendly to everyone and doesn't need to lock up every night because they doesn't go to your neighbours every night.

Last, dogs are unforgettable animals. You make memories with them which makes you laugh and cry. But remember, even though dogs are genius, you need to make time with them because they also have a feeling that are the same as people. Because I also have a dog sometimes which makes me also feel this way.

So this is the continuing part of my story. So this problem part is about George and Ralph. George is blaming Ralph about his attitude. This part is only about that blaming to each other. It's not done yet, so there will be another piece of writing that is about to be post.

So in our writing we are about to write a story about a fairy tale or legend. So I decided to create my own story, it not done yet, so there will be another piece of writing that is about to be post.

Narrative Writing - The Toilets

    The Toilets
    Everyday, a person needs to pee anytime, anywhere. But how can a person pee in such a dirty toilet? I’m going to share to you my experiences about dirty toilets in my surroundings for everyday situations.
 
        It was Monday when the first day of school started. I was nervous that’s why I wanted to pee every time. Then, I went to a toilet to pee. The c.r that I entered is clean, smells good, but the toilets will amaze you. There are 4 toilets in that c.r. Then all of them looks good but when I open the first toilet. I was pretty shocked. The bowl is colour yellow, it seems that the person that used it before didn’t click the flush button. Then I went to the second toilet, someone’s poop there because it smells so bad when I open the toilet seat. I’m starting to panic, because there is no clean toilet at all. I went to the third toilet, it's clean, smells good but no tissue at all. Then I shouted in anger, “ what kind of toilets are these! Is there anyone that is suppose to clean this toilets?”. I really really wanna pee, but the fourth toilet is taken by someone.

        I can’t really hold my pee, then I saw a clean toilet, it was big, huge but it’s for disabled people only. Then at last, I saw a shiny toilet, it so clean, there’s a tissue in it. Then I ran there in panic. I feel so relaxed. From now on, that is the only toilet that I’m using. I feel comfortable, hopeful and happy. Because every time I go to the toilets, I make sure that every toilet is clean before I use it because peeing in dirty toilet will make you feel sick. So for our today's writing, we are about to write about narrative writing. So we are just continuing up from what we have studied at term 3. So I wrote this one at the last weeks of the term. What is Narrative Writing? - Narrative Writing is a writing about story. It can be fiction and non - fiction. This writing is a fiction, I decided to wrote this one to share my thoughts. Comment some feedbacks so that I know where do I need to improve on.

Respect

What does Respect mean?  Respect means doing the right to everyone. It is a positive action towards something considered of good qualities.   

How can you show respect? You can shoe respect by doing the right thing when no one is looking.  Being kind to everyone or everything. 
Giving a positive comment to everyone.

 Respect needs to be shown everywhere. Respect is an important thing to have in our attitude because    we will have this thing to us until we grow up. Showing respect to people can have a strong relationship between you and them because you are being valuable and worthy of it. Showing respect can change someone's behaviour because they will do the same thing to you and to other people which will inspire everyone. Respect towards your self is to be honest with your self, stand up for what you believe in, and develop you own opinions. Respect is a basic moral value or need which make us aware that we are human.

My name is Myka from 8Bh and I agree that we should have fitness every morning because fitness helps us in many different ways.Fitness is good for our body. It helps you to communicate with other people and it makes our body awake for about the whole day you’re in school. It also makes you feel happy and relaxing. It fights health conditions and disease because of the sweat that you produce during fitness. It's good for your muscles and bones, so fitness is good for everyone. What is the reason to hate fitness?
I don’t really like fitness but I want to have fitness every morning. It’s fun too, but doing fitness is not fair for some people because people that don’t like fitness just stand in their place. For examples, just like when we’re doing star jumps and other people swings their hands, and I think all you have to do is 1 lap for every run and just increase the other exercise so people who don’t like fitness will love it and enjoy it.

Fitness is a condition of being physically fit and healthy to fulfill a particular role or task, it is a general state of good health, usually as a result of exercise and nutrition. Fitness improves a person in all types of fitness.

From Myka We are about to write about fitness in our writing. This topic is called 'Persuasive Writing'. Persuasive writing is about your inviting or pleasing some one that you like.First, you need to write your name at the toppest of your writing, you need to include your school and name. Second, write the name of the person that you want to give about your letter. Then Write the things that you wanna write, but it has to be a pleasing writing. Lastly, write your name at the bottom of your writing. So this is my Persuasive Writing, hope you learn some information about how to write a Persuasive Writing.

Respect

      Today, we are about to write about how to show respect to other people, so we are about to write about what are the respectful things we did today. For me, I did a simple respect today, by opening the door in the building, because there's a lot of people passing at the door without anyone holding it so I decided to hold the door until people passed the door. Throwing rubbish in the right bin, I want to throw it properly so people won't work harder to clean the building. Waiting at the toilet, during interval me and my friend went to the toilet, then we saw a lot of people outside and we didn't even know why, but we still waited at the toilet so that anyone can do whatever they want to do. Then the last, I listened to my teacher while explaining somethings, I showed that by doing eye contact to her and sitting properly and waiting for her to be finished.

      At the first time that I saw the building, it's not yet done. There's no roof, and other things to complete the whole building, I only saw a building that is being build. As time passes, I watched this building for a lot of times and I got bored of watching it. But when the holiday come, I taught a lot of things that will happen in this building, I taught a building that will have a lot of room but not so exciting, then the holiday passed, I saw the building that is completely constructed. As I entered the first room, it doesn't look like in my expectations, waterfalls are different than before, tuck shop is gone, but there is a better one, the gym is bigger than before, library look like a business company with a big fan above, rooms are more exiting than before. I love everything about the whole building, I guess I'm not going to another school because HHS is more better than the others.

How Does Your Heart Work?

What is a Heart? Your heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood to your body. The human heart is an
organ that pumps blood throughout the body via the circulatory system, supplying oxygen and nutrients to

the tissues and removing carbon dioxide and other wastes. Your heart is at the centre of your circulatory
system.

The heart has four chambers: right atrium, left atrium, right ventricle, left ventricle. Your right atrium and
right ventricle receives blood that’s low in oxygen from  your whole body and sends it to your lungs
through the Pulmonary Artery. The lungs fill blood with oxygen that your left atrium receives then flows

through the left ventricle through the Aortic Artery.

Your veins carry blood to the heart and your arteries carry blood away from the heart. Your rib cage protect

your heart from danger and your heart is about the size of your fist and it doesn’t take  a rest.

It can beat more than 100,000 times in one day pumping about 2000 gallons of blood through your body.
There is about 60,000 miles of vessels in your circulatory system and it always keep them full. It have four
valves that open and close that control the blood through your heart. The Bicuspid, Pulmonary, Mitral and
Aortic valves.

Our heart is a important organ to our body. There’s a lot of interesting information's that you will know
about your heart. Take care of your heart if you want a long and beautiful life.

Something I need to improve:

- I think I need to make my writing into a year 9 quality work because as time passes, I will be a year 9
soon.

Water Cycle Writing

Water Cycle Process

    Water Cycle are processes by which water circulates between the earth’s oceans, atmosphere and land. The water cycle, also known as the hydrological cycle or the hydrologic cycle, describes the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the Earth. Water cycle have 3 stages. This process have no starting point.

    Evaporation, Condensation and Precipitation are the process of water cycles. What is evaporation? Evaporation is the process of turning liquid into vapour. This process changes  into a gaseous phase before reaching it’s boiling point. The flow of liquid water and ice transports minerals across the globe.

    What is condensation? Condensation is the process which water collects as droplets on a cold surface when humid air is in contact with it. It is the of the physical state of matter from gas phase into liquid phase. It’s the conversion of a vapour or gas to liquid.

    What is precipitation? Precipitation is the action or process of precipitating a substance from a solution, this process includes rain, snow, sleet or hail. The fact or quality of acting suddenly and rashly.

    There are three stages of water cycle, evaporation, condensation and precipitation. Without water cycle our earth will not work properly.

How Does Your Brain Work?

The Human Brain is the command centre for the human nervous system. It is an amazing three-pound

organ that controls all functions of the body. It is made up of wonderful things that you need to know.

    The brain is made up of three main parts: Brainstem, Cerebellum and Cerebrum. The brainstem acts as a

relay centre connecting the cerebrum and cerebellum to the spinal cord. Next is the, cerebellum, it coordinate

your muscles movements and balance. Lastly is the, cerebrum, it performs your five senses: taste, touch,

sight, touch, smell and sound.

    The brain controls everything what you do! Like doing your normal activities, and it also controls your

internal organs like circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive system, and skeletal system. Our brain

is covered by a skull. Skull protects your brain in injury, for example, you are playing basketball, and you

didn’t notice that the ball is going to hit your head, then the skull will protect your brain against the ball.

    Our brain is connected to our spinal cord. If you accidentally break your spinal cord, you can’t do your

normal activities, like running, walking, standing. They will also have a major problems to your body, your

other system in your body may not work properly, like you can’t stand, or speak too! Because everything

that works in your body will pass through your spinal cord.

    Take care of your brain because brain controls everything in your body. Do not carry heavy things

because it will not be good for your spinal cord and brain. Remember, you cannot live without your brain.

      As I study here in Hornby High School my role is a student in this school.
I don’t have many role in this school but I have many responsibilities to do like
studying whether our lessons is hard or easy I need to understand it. Being a responsible
student is also one of my responsibilities because I need to be independent in this school
so that not every time I need to ask everyone what is our timetable. And this is my role
and responsibilities in this school.
