For Social Studies, we have to write an essay about a filipino that migrated from Philippines to New Zealand.
Many people migrates from one place to another for better lives. Like this person, she lives in Manila, Philippines facing many difficulties in the country. She became a single parent in the age of 17, looking for a better job in other countries for the sake of his son.
She grew up in Manila, the capital of the Philippines where high level of crimes, poverty, murder and accidents always occur. It's hard to find a job in her place because 13 percent of the population of the Philippines lives in Manila and it's hard to find a job in Manila because its overpopulated. There are 106 million people in the Philippines despite having the same land as New Zealand. Her minimum wage is about $15 per day and having a son is not enough for them to survive, as a parent no one wants to see their children to be hungry even though life is hard. Then, she decided to go in New Zealand in visitor's visa with her friends but her friends didn't make it. So, it must be hard for her to go in New Zealand by her own, not knowing anyone in the country but luckily she found someone who can assist her.
So people migrates from one place to another is because they want opportunities and better lives. They might not want to migrate but they do it for their families too and start a new life.
